Refund policy

This Refund and Return Policy applies to purchases made from DEVÉ Artisan Collective.
By placing an order with us, you agree to this Refund and Return Policy.
1. No Returns
We do not accept returns.
All products sold by DEVÉ Artisan Collective are non-returnable due to the nature of our bulk-order model, pre-order process, and product-specific fulfilment.
2. No Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges.
Once an order is confirmed, products cannot be exchanged for another product, design, size, colour, quantity, or variant.
3. No Customer-Initiated Cancellations
Once an order is confirmed, the customer cannot cancel the order unless we expressly agree in writing or cancellation is required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
This applies especially to bulk orders, pre-orders, and orders that have entered sourcing, production, packaging, or dispatch preparation.
4. No Refunds Except Where Required
We do not provide refunds unless required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law, or expressly approved by us in writing.
A refund, replacement, correction, or other remedy may be considered only if:
- the product delivered is materially different from the confirmed order;
- the product is defective in a way that materially affects its intended use;
- the product was damaged before delivery;
- the wrong product was delivered; or
- a remedy is required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
We reserve the right to review each issue on a case-by-case basis.
5. Non-Returnable Items
All items sold by DEVÉ Artisan Collective are non-returnable.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- bulk orders;
- pre-orders;
- gifting bags;
- customized or order-specific products;
- products arranged, sourced, packed, or produced for a confirmed order;
- products where the issue is caused by customer-side specifications, approvals, or handling.
6. Product Images and Natural Variations
Product images on our store are for reference and representation only.
Images used on the store may not be the exact depiction of the final product.
The following will not be treated as defects unless they materially differ from the confirmed order:
- minor colour differences;
- lighting or photography differences;
- screen display differences;
- texture or finish variations;
- handmade or artisan variations;
- batch-to-batch differences;
- minor size or shape variations;
- packaging variations;
- differences between reference images and actual products.
Customers should review product descriptions, order confirmations, specifications, and any written approvals carefully before confirming an order.
7. Damaged, Wrong, or Defective Products
If you believe you received a damaged, wrong, or defective product, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

- order details;
- customer name or business name;
- delivery date;
- clear photographs or videos of the issue;
- photographs of the packaging, if relevant;
- a description of the issue; and
- any other information reasonably required to review the claim.
We may reject claims that are incomplete, unsupported, caused by customer misuse, caused by incorrect customer specifications, caused by incorrect shipping information, or raised more than 48 hours after delivery.
8. Review of Claims
After receiving your complaint, we may review the information provided and may request additional details, photographs, videos, or evidence.
Depending on the issue and applicable Indian law, we may offer one or more of the following remedies:
- correction of the issue;
- replacement of the affected product or affected quantity;
- partial refund;
- full refund for the affected product or affected quantity;
- store credit;
- a goodwill remedy confirmed by us in writing on a case-by-case basis.
The remedy offered will depend on the nature of the issue, the order details, product condition, available evidence, and applicable Indian law.
9. Refund Method and Timing
If a refund is approved, it will be processed via bank transfer, the original payment method, or store credit, at our discretion, depending on the original payment method and processing constraints.
Refund timelines may vary depending on banks, payment providers, internal verification, and transaction processing systems.
Any approved refund will apply only to the relevant product, quantity, or portion of the order affected by the issue, unless we agree otherwise or applicable Indian law requires otherwise.
10. Return Shipping
Because we do not accept returns, return shipping is generally not applicable.
If a return is required under applicable Indian law or expressly approved by us in writing, return shipping arrangements and responsibility will be communicated as part of the approval process.
Customers must not send any product back to us unless we have approved the return in writing.
Unauthorised returns may not be accepted, processed, refunded, or returned to the customer.
11. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- reviewing all order details before confirmation;
- providing accurate shipping information;
- providing correct product specifications, if applicable;
- making payment on time;
- checking products promptly after delivery;
- reporting any issue with supporting evidence within 48 hours of delivery;
- handling and storing products properly after delivery.
We are not responsible for issues caused by incorrect customer information, improper handling, storage damage after delivery, customer misuse, or changes requested after order confirmation.
12. Shipping Delays and Delivery Issues
Shipping delays do not automatically qualify for cancellation, return, or refund.
We are not responsible for delays caused by courier partners, customs authorities, incorrect shipping details, customer unavailability, transport disruption, weather, government action, force majeure events, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If an order is delayed, we will share available tracking information and liaise with the courier on your behalf, though we cannot guarantee resolution of courier-side delays.
13. International Orders
For international orders, customers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, clearance charges, brokerage fees, local taxes, and any other charges imposed by the destination country.
We are not responsible for delays, additional charges, seizure, rejection, return, or non-delivery caused by customs authorities, import restrictions, unpaid duties, or failure by the customer to complete import requirements.
Such issues do not automatically qualify for refund, cancellation, return, or exchange.
14. Abuse of Policy
We reserve the right to refuse refund, replacement, exchange, cancellation, or complaint requests where we reasonably believe that the request is fraudulent, abusive, misleading, unsupported, made in bad faith, or inconsistent with this Policy.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [City], India.
