Welcome to DEVÉ Artisan Collective. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our Shopify store, our products, and any related services provided by us.
By accessing our store, creating an account, placing an order, requesting a quote, making payment, or otherwise dealing with us, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our store or place an order with us.
1. About DEVÉ Artisan Collective
DEVÉ Artisan Collective sells physical goods, including gifting bags, on a bulk-order basis.
Our products are supplied from Banaras, Uttar Pradesh, India.

2. Eligibility and Minimum Order Quantity
Our store is available to both individual customers and business customers.
We currently accept only bulk orders with a minimum order quantity of 100 units per order, unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
There is no specific minimum age requirement to browse our store. However, by placing an order, creating an account, or making payment, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law, or that you are acting with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian, or authorised representative.
3. Products
We make reasonable efforts to describe and display our products accurately.
However, product images, colours, finishes, textures, dimensions, packaging, and visual appearances shown on our store may differ from the actual product due to lighting, photography, screen settings, production variations, handmade or artisan processes, material availability, and batch differences.
Images used on the store may not be the exact depiction of the final product. They are provided for general reference only.
Product availability is not guaranteed unless confirmed by us in writing.
4. Orders and Order Acceptance
Placing an order, submitting an inquiry, requesting a quote, or completing checkout does not automatically mean that your order has been accepted.
An order is accepted only when we confirm it through our store, by email, invoice, written communication, or other order confirmation method.
We may refuse, cancel, or limit any order where we reasonably believe that:
- payment has not been received or verified;
- the order appears fraudulent, suspicious, or unauthorised;
- product information, pricing, or availability was incorrect;
- required approvals, specifications, or information have not been provided;
- production or fulfilment is not possible;
- the order violates these Terms;
- the order may violate the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law; or
- accepting the order would create unreasonable operational, financial, legal, or logistical risk.
If we cancel an order after receiving payment, we will handle any refund or adjustment in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law and these Terms.
5. Pre-Orders and Bulk Production
We may accept pre-orders and bulk production orders.
For pre-orders or bulk orders, timelines, quantities, specifications, pricing, payment terms, and fulfilment details may be confirmed separately through a quote, invoice, order confirmation, written communication, or checkout details.
Because bulk and pre-order products may be produced or arranged specifically for an order, confirmed orders cannot be cancelled by the customer unless we agree in writing or cancellation is required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
6. Pricing and Currency
All prices are stated in Indian Rupees (INR) unless expressly stated otherwise.
Prices may change at any time without prior notice. However, price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted by us, unless there was an obvious error, system issue, or incorrect quotation.
Taxes, shipping charges, duties, and other applicable charges may be added or shown separately during checkout, invoicing, quotation, or order confirmation.
7. Payment
We currently accept payment through the following methods, where made available by us:
- UPI;
- bank transfer; and
- cash, only where expressly accepted by us for a specific transaction.
Cash on Delivery is not available unless we expressly offer it for a specific order.
Orders may not be processed, produced, dispatched, or delivered until payment has been received and verified, unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
You are responsible for ensuring that payment details are accurate and that payments are made from lawful and authorised sources.
8. International Orders, Customs, and Import Duties
We plan to accept orders worldwide, subject to shipping availability, legal restrictions, logistics feasibility, and our confirmation.
For international orders, the customer is responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, clearance fees, local taxes, documentation requirements, and any other charges imposed by the destination country.
We are not responsible for delays, seizure, additional charges, or non-delivery caused by customs authorities, import restrictions, incorrect documentation provided by the customer, or the customer's failure to complete import formalities.
9. Shipping and Delivery
Products are shipped from Banaras, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Shipping methods, dispatch estimates, delivery estimates, courier partners, and charges may vary depending on the order quantity, destination, product availability, production status, and logistics conditions.
Where timelines are important, they will be confirmed in the quote, invoice, checkout, email, or order confirmation for that specific order.
Delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.
Delays caused by customer-side issues, including delayed payment, delayed approvals, incorrect specifications, incorrect shipping address, unavailability to receive delivery, customs formalities, or failure to provide required information, are the customer's responsibility.
Delays caused by courier partners, transport disruptions, weather, customs, government action, strikes, force majeure events, or other events outside our reasonable control are not our fault. We will share available tracking information and liaise with the courier on your behalf, though we cannot guarantee resolution of courier-side delays.
Risk of loss or damage generally passes to the customer once the order is successfully delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer, subject to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
10. No Returns, No Exchanges, and No Customer-Initiated Cancellations
Due to the nature of our bulk-order model, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or customer-initiated cancellations once an order is confirmed.
All products are non-returnable and non-exchangeable, except where a return, replacement, refund, or other remedy is required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
We may consider issues only where the product received is materially different from the confirmed order, defective, damaged before delivery, or otherwise required to be addressed under applicable Indian law.
To raise an issue, you must contact us at hello@deve.co.in with your order details, clear photographs or videos, and a description of the issue within 48 hours of delivery.
We may reject claims that are incomplete, unsupported, caused by customer misuse, caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer, caused by normal product variation, or raised more than 48 hours after delivery.
11. Customer Accounts
You may be able to create an account on our store.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details and for all activities that occur through your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update your information when necessary.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate account access if we reasonably believe that the account is being misused, used fraudulently, used in violation of these Terms, or used in a way that may harm us, other customers, or our store.
12. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- use our store for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, abusive, or misleading purposes;
- interfere with the operation, security, or availability of our store;
- copy, scrape, reproduce, or misuse our website content, product images, descriptions, designs, branding, or other materials;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or accounts;
- submit false, misleading, offensive, defamatory, infringing, spam, or abusive content;
- place fake orders or make unauthorised payments;
- misuse discounts, promotions, or payment systems;
- violate any applicable law or regulation.
We may take appropriate action, including cancelling orders, restricting access, removing content, or reporting unlawful activity, where we believe these Terms have been violated.
13. Reviews, Comments, and User Content
Our store does not currently allow public customer reviews, comments, photographs, testimonials, or other user-generated content unless we expressly enable such features.
If any such feature is enabled in the future, you must not submit fake reviews, spam, offensive content, unlawful content, misleading content, or content that infringes the rights of another person.
We reserve the right to remove or reject any content that violates these Terms or applicable Indian law.
14. Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, logos, product images, product descriptions, designs, text, graphics, layouts, and other materials associated with DEVÉ Artisan Collective are owned by or licensed to DEVÉ Artisan Collective, unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell, scrape, use for resale, or commercially exploit any part of our store or content without our prior written permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
15. Third-Party Services and Shopify
Our store is hosted on Shopify and may use third-party tools, apps, payment services, logistics providers, or integrations.
Your use of such third-party services may be subject to their own terms, conditions, and privacy practices.
We are not responsible for third-party websites, platforms, apps, payment failures, service interruptions, or policies that are outside our control.
16. Privacy
Your use of our store is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is available on our Shopify store.
By using our store, creating an account, contacting us, or placing an order, you acknowledge that we may collect, use, and process information as described in our Privacy Policy and as required to operate our business, process orders, communicate with you, and comply with applicable Indian law.
17. Warranties and Disclaimers
We aim to provide products that match the confirmed order details as closely as reasonably possible.
However, except as expressly stated by us or required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law, our products and store are provided on an as-available basis.
We do not guarantee that:
- our store will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
- product images will exactly match the delivered product;
- all products will be available at all times;
- delivery will occur by a specific date unless expressly agreed in writing;
- products will meet requirements that were not communicated and accepted before order confirmation.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law, DEVÉ Artisan Collective will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or business losses, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, production delays, or third-party claims arising from your use of our store or products.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount actually paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not exclude liability where such exclusion is not permitted under applicable Indian law.
19. Force Majeure
We will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure is caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Such events may include natural disasters, floods, fire, strikes, labour issues, transport disruption, courier delays, customs delays, government action, war, civil unrest, pandemic-related restrictions, supply chain disruption, internet or platform outages, payment system failures, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update, revise, or replace these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on our store.
The updated Terms will apply from the date they are posted, unless otherwise stated.
Your continued use of our store or placement of orders after the updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with reference to the applicable laws of Uttar Pradesh, where relevant.
Subject to applicable law, the courts located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, our store, or any order placed with us.

Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy applies to orders placed with DEVÉ Artisan Collective.
1. Shipping Origin
Orders are shipped from Banaras, Uttar Pradesh, India.
2. Shipping Availability
We plan to ship worldwide, subject to courier availability, customs requirements, legal restrictions, logistics feasibility, and order confirmation.
We may refuse or cancel shipment to any location where delivery is not reasonably possible, legally restricted, commercially impractical, or unsupported by our logistics partners.
3. Bulk Orders and Processing
We accept bulk orders with a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
Because orders may involve bulk quantities or pre-order production, processing timelines may vary depending on:
- order quantity;
- product availability;
- production requirements;
- payment confirmation;
- customer approvals;
- packaging requirements;
- destination country;
- courier availability; and
- customs or documentation requirements.
The applicable processing and dispatch details for an order may be confirmed in the quote, invoice, checkout, email, or order confirmation.
4. Delivery Estimates
Delivery timelines are estimates only.
We do not guarantee delivery by a specific date unless expressly agreed in writing.
We are not responsible for delays caused by courier partners, customs authorities, transport disruptions, incorrect address details, customer unavailability, delayed customer approvals, delayed payments, force majeure events, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
5. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges may vary depending on destination, order size, order weight, packaging requirements, courier partner, delivery speed, and applicable taxes or fees.
Shipping charges may be shown during checkout, in a quote, invoice, email, or order confirmation.
6. International Shipping, Customs, and Duties
For international orders, the customer is responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, clearance charges, local taxes, and other charges imposed by the destination country.
The customer is also responsible for ensuring that the ordered products can be lawfully imported into the destination country.
We are not responsible for delays, additional costs, seizure, rejection, or non-delivery caused by customs authorities, import restrictions, unpaid duties, or failure by the customer to complete import requirements.
7. Incorrect Address or Failed Delivery
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping details.
We are not responsible for delays, failed delivery, return-to-origin, additional charges, or loss caused by incorrect, incomplete, or outdated shipping information provided by the customer.
If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address, customer unavailability, refusal to accept delivery, or failure to complete customs requirements, the customer may be responsible for additional shipping, return, storage, or re-dispatch charges.
8. Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Shipments
If a shipment is delayed, we will share available tracking information and liaise with the courier on your behalf, though we cannot guarantee resolution of courier-side delays.
If a shipment is marked as delivered by the courier, it will generally be treated as delivered to the address provided by the customer, subject to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
If you believe a shipment was damaged before delivery, materially mishandled, or lost before delivery, contact us at hello@deve.co.in within 48 hours of delivery with your order details and supporting evidence.
We will review the issue and handle it in accordance with the courier process, the order terms, and applicable Indian law.

Refund and Return Policy

This Refund and Return Policy applies to purchases from DEVÉ Artisan Collective.
1. No Returns
We do not accept returns.
All products are non-returnable due to our bulk-order model.
2. No Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges.
3. No Customer-Initiated Cancellations
Once an order is confirmed, the customer may not cancel the order unless we agree in writing or cancellation is required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
This applies especially to bulk orders and pre-orders.

5. Non-Returnable Items
All items sold by DEVÉ Artisan Collective are non-returnable, except where a return or remedy is required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
6. Product Variations Are Not Defects
The following will not be treated as defects unless they materially differ from the confirmed order:
- minor colour differences;
- lighting or photography differences;
- screen display differences;
- texture or finish variations;
- handmade or artisan variations;
- batch-to-batch differences;
- minor size or shape variations;
- packaging variations;
- differences between reference images and actual products where the product remains consistent with the confirmed order.
7. Reporting an Issue
To report an issue, contact us at hello@deve.co.in within 48 hours of delivery with:
- your order details;
- a clear description of the issue;
- photographs or videos showing the issue;
- photographs of the packaging, if relevant;
- delivery details; and
- any other information we reasonably request.
Claims may be rejected if they are incomplete, unsupported, raised more than 48 hours after delivery, caused by customer misuse, caused by incorrect customer specifications, caused by incorrect shipping information, or unrelated to any defect or legal requirement.
8. Refund Method and Timing
If a refund is approved, it will be processed via bank transfer, the original payment method, or store credit, at our discretion, depending on the original payment method and processing constraints.
Refund timelines may depend on banks, payment providers, and processing systems.
9. Return Shipping
Because we do not accept returns, return shipping is generally not applicable.
If a return is required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law, or expressly approved by us in writing, return shipping arrangements and responsibility will be communicated as part of the approval process.
